Another movie by Miyazaki, which I got to watch only recently truly shows his incredible talents with colors and scenery. The hand drawn landscapes are breathtaking and awesome. Beyond the arts of animation, the story is filled with non-stop adventures.
A young boy named Pazu finds a mysterious girl floating down the sky unconscious. She is being pursued by the military government secret agents and the air pirates both of whom seek her rare stoned necklace which they think might lead to the fabled floating city of Laputa. Pazu helps her escape and embarks on a journey full of adventures in search of Laputa racing against the military, to understand about their identity and what happened to the city believed to have been superior in technology.
